About The Trestle Inn
Beside the old Reading Railroad trestle at 11th and Callowhill, the room is candlelit and red, with a long bar, a small stage for the Trestle Specials go-go dancers and just enough floor to dance on. The records are all vinyl, mostly 60s and 70s soul, funk and disco, and the dancers work their routines to them on every open night. Drinks lean on whiskey: the house claims credit for reviving the classic whiskey sour in Philadelphia, and the list runs to a dozen cocktails, more than 70 whiskies and rotating craft taps. Hours are Thursday to Saturday, 5 PM to 2 AM, so it also works as an after-work stop before the dancing picks up. Google reviewers give it 4.5 across more than 600, praising the bartenders, the retro room and a crowd that actually dances; the scruffy exterior is treated by regulars as part of the appeal.
