About The Library Bar
Inside The Rittenhouse hotel on the west side of the square, the room is built like a private study: dark panelling, shelves of hardbacks, a fireplace, a crystal chandelier, leather club chairs and a short marble bar. The mood is quiet and adult, closer to a nightcap than a night out, and Google lists occasional live music. Cocktails are classic and carefully built; reviewers repeatedly mention generous pours that feel fair for a luxury hotel, and cheese and charcuterie boards cover the food side. Hours run 5 to 11 PM most nights, stretching from 4 PM to midnight on Friday and Saturday. Seating is strictly enforced: when every chair is taken, staff will not let latecomers stand or squeeze in beside a group already seated, which has drawn a couple of sharp reviews. Larger parties who arrive early report warm, well-organised service from the host stand. Valet parking is available through the hotel.
