About River Twice
Chef Randy Rucker's room on Passyunk Avenue is built around the Delaware River Valley and the mid-Atlantic, with a menu that shifts with whatever local growers and fishermen bring in. Most nights it is a tasting menu with optional supplements (reviewers suggest two or three for a pair) and wine or beverage pairings; Monday is the night regulars come for the Mother Rucker burger. The dining room is pale and minimal, with light wood, tall windows and a counter where cooks plate and talk guests through each dish, plus a few outdoor tables. Standouts in reviews include oysters, scallops, cod and the cornbread with uni and black truffle. Service is praised as warm and personal, down to handwritten anniversary cards, but recent reviews also include two reports of illness after dinner and some complaints about salt. It opens Monday and Friday to Sunday from 6pm to 10pm.
