About Revolution House
A carved antique back bar and bottle-lined shelves anchor the ground floor at 2nd and Market, a few steps from Christ Church, while the upstairs deck has its own bar and can be taken privately; one summer program party of 25 ate there buffet-style. The menu is pub cooking with pizza at the center: Margherita pies, tater tots, crispy Brussels sprouts, cheesesteaks, chicken and waffles, and mimosa carafes at brunch. Happy hour halves the price of pizzas, and weekend brunch starts at 11am. Hours are short for the neighborhood, closing at 8:30pm early in the week and 10pm from Thursday to Saturday. The Google score is 4.2 from more than 1,000 reviews; servers draw consistent warmth, while the misses are undercooked chicken, watered-down mimosas and a July report of mice in the deck planters, which a manager said affected several restaurants on the street.
