About Mish Mish

The brick corner building on Tasker Street, with planters on the facade and tall windows that fold open on warm evenings, holds a narrow room of white tables, a pressed-tin ceiling and a terracotta-tiled bar lit by candles. The menu changes month to month and is built for sharing: fried string cheese, bread with butter, baby octopus, scallops, grilled shrimp, pork milanese and a cheese plate, with a drinks list leaning on natural wine and a happy-hour menu. The schedule is unusual: open Monday and Thursday to Sunday from 5pm, until 10pm on Friday and Saturday, and closed Tuesday and Wednesday. The 4.5 Google average hides a split: fans love the attentive service and the bread, while critics find portions small for the price and note that the menus posted online do not always match what is served. The Michelin Guide lists it as recommended.
