About Gunshow
Since 2013 the format has held: chefs leave the open kitchen with each new dish, bring it to the tables, explain it and let diners decide whether to take it, a system one reviewer compares to speed dating with food. The room is bright and casual, with steel counters, red signage and seating that faces the line. The seasonal, Southern-leaning menu changes constantly; blueberry trout, beef tartare, caviar bites and a banana pudding that appears across dozens of reviews are recent highlights, and the cocktail list includes oddities such as a BLT drink. The staff energy and the music both get praise. Dinner runs Wednesday to Saturday from six, reservations are required, and a lot behind the building is validated. It holds a Michelin Guide recommendation for 2025 and a 4.5 average from over 1,300 Google reviews. Bills climb quickly, with one couple reporting $450, and portions are small by design.
