About Domaine ATL
The old Opera building on Crescent Avenue now runs as Domaine, a multi-level room with a proscenium stage wrapped in LED walls, balconies looking down on the floor, banquette sections along the sides and a pool out back that one reviewer called dated. Bookings are the draw: touring house and Afro-house acts, EDM headliners and hip-hop nights share the calendar, and Saturday starts at 3pm when day events run, with both Friday and Saturday going to 3am. The crowd is young and large, which is the recurring complaint as well as the appeal, with reviews describing wall-to-wall capacity, weed smoke, pricey drinks and no food service. Security draws several sharp criticisms across recent reviews, including accounts of rough handling. Google holds it at 3.3 from about 200 ratings, a score driven more by operations than by the sound and lighting, which guests rarely fault.
