About Zurito
Stools line a long pale bar backed by shelves of bottles and a bold red-and-green artwork, and the small room fills fast: walk-ins who arrive at six can find seats, but it is packed within the hour. The kitchen, from the BCB3 group, sticks closely to the Basque Country, turning out pintxos, sea urchin toast, braised beef cheek, seared foie gras, gambas, octopus, blood sausage, patatas bravas and squid ink risotto, with caña de cabra and Manchego from the cheese side. Cocktails get as much praise as the food, and servers are named for their attention. Complaints centre on value and volume: plates are small and sometimes salty for the price, the Basque cheesecake misses, and conversation can be hard when full. Dinner runs nightly from 5 p.m., with lunch on Saturday and service from noon on Sunday. It holds 4.5 from 302 Google reviews.
