About Krasi
A long white bar runs the length of a narrow, concrete-walled room hung with illustrated portraits, with green banquettes opposite and tall windows at the front onto Gloucester Street. The draw is the list of Greek wines, and bartenders and servers are named in review after review for steering guests through unfamiliar grapes. The food is meze-first: warm tiropita rolls with honey butter, tableside tzatziki, strapatsada, bourdeto, lamb osso buco and grilled pork ribs, finishing with portokalopita, the orange-soaked phyllo cake. The dining room and bar get noisy when full, and walk-ins have been quoted two-hour waits on busy nights, so booking is wise. Dinner runs 5 to 11 p.m. every night, with lunch on Friday and brunch from 10 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Google reviewers give it 4.6 across 1,209 reviews, and Time Out ranks it among Boston's best restaurants.
