About Woods Hill Pier 4
Floor-to-ceiling glass and a long patio put Boston Harbor and the Institute of Contemporary Art right beside the tables, and sunset on the terrace is the booking people chase; waits for outdoor seats can run an hour. Owner Kristin Canty and chef Charlie Foster source much of the menu from the restaurant's own farm in Bath, New Hampshire, and reviewers single out lamb ribs, squid ink pasta, sunflower risotto, charred broccoli and steak tartare. Inside, a blue-lit bar with a planted ceiling makes a good fallback, with bartenders who walk guests through the menu and an upbeat playlist. Sunday and Monday bring $1 oysters, a dozen per guest. One longtime regular was turned away from the empty patio for ordering only appetizers. Dinner runs nightly from 5 p.m., with weekend brunch from 11 a.m. It is Michelin recommended and holds 4.4 across 886 Google reviews.
