About Apex Rooftop Bar and Lounge
A compact glass-roofed room on top of 150 State Street, lit green and violet after dark, with a mirrored back bar along one wall, window counters looking down on the granite facades of State Street and a handful of tables. Cocktails are the focus: themed martini flights on slate boards, s’mores and pumpkin riffs in autumn, spritzes and sours. The calendar mixes karaoke, trivia and live performances with nights when the room turns into a dance floor, and the music gets as much praise as the bartenders. Doors open at 5pm Tuesday to Friday and 1pm at weekends, running to 1am midweek and 2am on Friday and Saturday; Monday is closed. A 4.8 from 1,327 Google reviews is unusually strong for the area, though recent visitors warn that it is tight on space and pricey for the pours. Dress is relaxed, the crowd mixed and sociable, and outside food is allowed.
