About La Padrona
Copper ceilings strung with pendant lamps, marble tabletops, deep blue velvet chairs and little brass table lights make the room the first thing guests mention. The menu moves through the Italian regions, and the plates that keep coming up are the oversized cacio e pepe focaccia, tuna crudo, wagyu carpaccio, lobster risotto, bucatini and swordfish, followed by a peaches-and-cream dessert. The cocktail list is as much of a draw as the kitchen. Servers are named and thanked in review after review, and groups report being seated quickly even when bookings go wrong. The criticism is consistent too: heavy salt on some dishes, and one diner who felt the ambiance outran the food at this price. Dinner runs from 5 p.m. nightly, until 11 on Thursday to Saturday. A private dining room and valet parking are available. Google reviewers rate it 4.3 from 466 reviews.
