About Stillwell's
Green velvet curtains, round lit panels and a curved bar with tufted stools give the room an old-Hollywood feel, and a neon cowboy sits in a wood-panelled nook near the entrance. The kitchen works the steakhouse script with some theatre: prime rib carved from a cart, the chosen wagyu cut shown before it is cooked, seafood towers, deviled eggs topped with roe and a flambé finish for dessert, with beef dumplings as the dish reviewers insist on. A sommelier walks the wine list, and the bar makes a well-regarded dirty martini. Dinner is served nightly from five until ten, or eleven on Friday and Saturday. The Michelin Guide lists it as recommended, and Google rates it 4.5 from about 360 reviews. Anniversaries and special nights go well; the complaints concern slow service when large parties are booked, cramped two-tops and value for money.
