About Old Glory
The entrance is a plain wooden door set into a painted triangle at the end of a brick courtyard, and it opens onto a former industrial boiler room: exposed brick climbing several storeys, old pipework and a smokestack overhead, with the bar and a run of leather banquettes down at the bottom of a steep staircase. The cocktail list is short and inventive, reviewers mention a Mexican-Italian thread running through it, and bartenders are named by guests again and again for their service. Cheese and charcuterie boards cover the food side. Aerial performers are sometimes rigged from the rafters, and the room gets livelier as the night goes on. It opens at five every evening and pours until 1am, with drinks mostly in the $30 to $40 per head range. The space is very dark, and one recent review describes a hard fall on the last few steps of the staircase.
