About Category 10
Behind a restored brick frontage on 2nd Avenue, the main hall opens into a concert-style room: a wide wooden dance floor facing a full stage, with a suspended sculpture of feathers and light strips hanging over the crowd. Line-dance teachers work the floor through the evening, and newcomers consistently call the lessons the highlight, though one guest wished the steps were shown on the screens. Upstairs levels add smaller stages, a lounge with rows of recliners for watching games, a merch shop and an open-air terrace. The bands play country hits and rock covers, and one fan's only complaint was that the owner himself was not on stage that night. Food covers ribs, crab dip and bar staples, and door and floor staff get named in review after review. Hours are 11am to midnight, extended to 1am on Fridays and Saturdays, and drink prices run higher than some visitors expect. A 4.8 score from nearly 3,500 Google reviews backs it.
