About Red Phone Booth
Guests get in by stepping into a red telephone box on Rosa L Parks Boulevard and dialing an access code, after which staff walk newcomers through the house rules. Beyond the door is a dark, clubby room of amber-lit ceiling panels, leather sofas around a fireplace and a long back bar stacked with whiskey, with a humidor supplying the cigars that are smoked throughout. The smoked old fashioned is the drink most people come for, and bartenders are praised by name in almost every recent review. A wood-fired oven turns out Neapolitan pizzas that regularly get called the surprise of the night. Hours run from 4pm, or 5pm on Sundays, to midnight, with a 1am close Thursday to Saturday. There is no cover charge, private rooms are available for events, and spending climbs quickly with cigars and premium pours. Cigar smoke is everywhere, which puts some off, but 1,950-plus Google reviews still average 4.7.
