About Drusie & Darr
Arched vaults, stone columns and chandeliers give the dining room a formal, old-hotel grandeur, while the bar runs the length of a coffered, cream-toned room with velvet banquettes opposite. The menu is Jean-Georges Vongerichten's cosmopolitan mix rather than a single cuisine: crispy rice topped with salmon, thin-crust pizzas with truffle or avocado, burrata, steaks, a cheeseburger and the molten chocolate cake that reviewers keep telling others to order. It serves three meals a day, with breakfast from 7am, lunch until 2pm and dinner from 5pm to 11pm, pushed to 1am on Friday and Saturday, and the bar's happy hour draws its own crowd for dirty and espresso martinis. The 4.3 from over 300 Google reviews is mostly glowing about named servers and the setting inside a hotel holding two Michelin Keys, with the odd sharp complaint, such as a dry $58 veal milanese. Guests tend to dress for the room.
