About Butterfly
Chef José Andrés brought this Mexican concept to the top of the W Nashville, filling it with woven pendant lamps, a long pale-green bar, low sofas and a terrace of rattan chairs above the Gulch. Tacos, tostadas, guacamole and ceviche anchor a short menu, alongside margaritas, sours, a rotating frozen drink and a well-stocked bourbon shelf. Reviewers split on the food: some call the tacos the best they have had in town, others find the portions small for the price. Nearly everyone agrees on the view and the design, and bartenders are praised by name for conversation and a sharp dirty martini. A photo booth adds to the party mood. Doors open at 4 PM daily, closing at 11 PM from Sunday to Thursday and 1 AM on Friday and Saturday, when the room is busiest. At 4.6 stars from 70 Google reviews, it is one of the newest names on the city's rooftop lists.
