About Suerte
Masa drives the menu: the kitchen builds interior-Mexican cooking around it, applying traditional technique to Texas produce and meat. The suadero tacos are the signature, backed by wagyu and brisket tacos, a crisp potato-and-squash quesadilla, sopes, lentils, beans cooked in beef tallow and a guacamole that one Italian visitor called the best of their life. Drinks lean tropical, with a banana colada as the crowd favourite. The room is long and bright, with pale timber ceilings, open shelving and a bar that stays full. Dinner runs nightly from 5 p.m., to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and weekend brunch starts at 11 a.m. It holds 4.6 on more than 3,200 Google reviews and is listed in the Michelin Guide. A few diners find it pricey next to traditional taquerias, and one was charged a $40 late-cancellation fee, so read the booking terms. Street parking is tight.
