About The Cotton Room
Finding it is part of the routine: look for the Belfast Mill Irish pub on Brevard Court, then climb the stairs. The room above is small and warm, with exposed brick, leather sofas around low tables, half barrels along the back wall and a copper-topped bar. The list runs to about a dozen cocktails, from an old fashioned and gin fizz to house creations, and the bar will make classics off-menu; espresso and dirty martinis get special mention. A few taps, Guinness among them, cover beer drinkers. Drinks run about $10–15, lower than much of Uptown. The playlist is the one sore point, with a request for more variety. Doors open at five on weekdays, at four on Friday and Saturday, when it stays open until two, and at three on Sunday. It topped Yelp's Charlotte cocktail-bar ranking in September 2026 and holds 4.6 stars on Google.
