About Coyote Joe's
A barn-sized room of wood paneling, antler chandeliers and a stage hung with an American flag holds one of the biggest dance floors in the city, and on a good night it is full of line dancers moving in step. The resident band alternates with recorded sets, and national country acts play the stage regularly. Wednesday is ladies night, with an instructor teaching the steps, and regulars call it the best night of the week. Doors open at 7 PM and close at 2 AM on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Beyond the floor there are pool tables, cornhole, a wall of fame and the bull. Cover was around $8 in a recent review; the bar is cash only, with ATMs on site, and drinks are described as pricey but good. Parking is free in the next-door lot. Some younger guests want more hip-hop in the mix. Google rating: 4.0 from 673 reviews.
