About Panamericano
A buzzer by an unmarked door on the second floor of Mary Brickell Village, inside the Novecento building, leads into a room of coffered ceilings, a turquoise chandelier and deep green velvet armchairs. The real stage is the counter: a long bar lit from below and backed by floor-to-ceiling shelves of bottles, designed so every seat can watch the drinks being made. The menu travels the Americas from Canada to Patagonia, with rotating cocktails served in sculpted clay cups on tiny grass plinths alongside a well-made old fashioned, and bites such as chicken anticucho and spiced chickpeas. Music stays at a level that allows conversation. Staff explain the origin of every drink, and Google shows a perfect 5.0 from more than 2,300 reviews. It opens Tuesday to Saturday from five, closing at midnight midweek and at two on Friday and Saturday; booking ahead is wise for weekends.
