About Jack Rose Dining Saloon

Every wall of the main room is shelved to the ceiling with bottles, reached by bartenders on library ladders, and staff are known for steering guests to something new at their price point. Whiskey and bourbon lead, with flights and pairings recommended, but the gin martini and classic cocktails get equal praise. Upstairs, a roof deck and covered terrace open the bar to 18th Street in good weather, and the kitchen runs a full American menu including burgers and fried plates. Hours are 5pm to midnight Monday and Tuesday, to 1am Wednesday and Thursday, 4pm to 2am Friday, 1pm to 2am Saturday and 1pm to 10pm Sunday. With about 2,450 Google reviews at 4.6 it is a long-established favorite, and private events are taken seriously, according to one reviewer whose party went wrong and was then made right. Expect $50–100 a head.
