Cotai's Estrada da Baía da Nossa Senhora da Esperança is the strip where Macau keeps its largest resorts, and being fifty-one floors above it inside Galaxy Macau means the room is reached deliberately — through the hotel, not off the street. Doors open at 2:30pm every day of the year and stay open to 1am, which makes it as usable for an afternoon pot of something civilised as for a late drink. Music runs to jazz and lounge and deep house, kept at conversational volume, with live bands on the busier nights. Fridays and Saturdays fill with corporate and younger professionals, largely local and regional, and the smart casual line is worth respecting. Table and bottle service and VIP booths sit behind a $$$ price band; the fine-dining kitchen supports rather than dominates. Entry skews 30+, with 18 the legal drinking minimum.
